The Services are restricted to individuals aged 18 or older. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

2. Account Registration

To use the Services, you must create an account by providing a valid email address, date of birth, and password. You may also sign up using Google Authentication, but we will still request your date of birth and username.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

Fictiondex reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Content and Publishing

Ownership

Authors retain ownership of all content they publish on Fictiondex. By publishing content, you grant Fictiondex a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content to other users on the platform.

Content Guidelines

• You agree not to publish illegal, harmful, defamatory, or copyrighted material you do not own.
• You must not publish any content that violates applicable laws or regulations.

Moderation

Content is moderated by Fictiondex staff and flagged by user reports. Fictiondex reserves the right to remove or modify content at its sole discretion.

Content Removal

• Authors may delete their own content unless it has been purchased. Purchased content will remain available to buyers but will be hidden from public view.
• Fictiondex reserves the right to delete content that violates these Terms.

Security

Content is protected with industry-grade encryption at rest and in transit. We employ JWT authentication for user sessions.

4. In-App Purchases and Coins

• Fictiondex allows users to purchase "Coins," which can be used to unlock chapters, books, or send tips to authors.
• Coins are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Users may earn Coins by watching advertisements. Fictiondex is not responsible for ad availability.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you publish. You warrant that you own the copyright to any content uploaded.

You must not:

• Engage in illegal activities through the platform.
• Exploit, harass, or harm other users.

7. Limitations of Liability

Fictiondex is not liable for:

• Issues resulting from third-party services integrated into the platform.

8. Third-Party Services

Fictiondex may integrate third-party services (e.g., payment processors or ad networks). Use of such services is subject to their terms and policies.

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Fictiondex may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any reason deemed necessary.
